Today the girls volunteered for the first time at the Rainier Animal Fund’s clinic at the Elliott Bay Animal Hospital. The Elliott Bay Animal Hospital donated their facility for the day and the staff of the hospital staff volunteered to come in on a Saturday to provide free veterinary care to pets in need and their owners that would not otherwise receive care. The Rainier Animal Fund steps in and covers the cost of the supplies and treatments that are not donated.
The girls and their cousins set up a break room for the hard working volunteers and cut cute decorations for the brave animals casts so they went home with cheery looking bandages and helped write notes to the many volunteers and donors that helped make the event a success.
In addition, the girls got to witness so much kindness and empathy and see first hand what their donations help accomplish. We are so appreciative of the efforts made by Rainier Animal Fund and Elliott Bay Animal Hospital to let us be a part of this event.
